Our kits are handmade from a blend of non-GMO recycled facilities intended to repurpose common nutrients. We use the finest grains and substrate combination to deliver one of the best products on the market.

• Are these mushroom kits suitable for beginners?

These kits are absolutely suited for beginners! This is the easiest way to grow mushrooms and anyone can do it!

• How often should I water my mushroom grow kit?

Your ShroomBloom comes pre-moisturized. Once you inject, ShroomBloom will do the rest. You can choose to add moisture to your kit as your mushrooms start to pin and grow larger but this required you open your grow kit and periodically mist inside.

• What is the ideal temperature for growing mushrooms?

The ideal temperature for your Lion's Mane grow kit is 70-78 degrees F. Any colder, your mycelium will be slow to grow, any warmer and you will risk contamination.

• Why are my mushrooms not growing?

Hard to say. Humidity, temperature and fresh air exchange are all major factors when growing mushrooms. Bear in mind, this is a living organism and can be very finicky. Don't blame yourself, reach out to us anytime and we will get you up to speed.

• How do I know when to harvest the mushrooms?

Your mushrooms are ready to harvest when they look to be fully grown and their caps start to open up. You want to harvest your mushrooms when their caps just start to open before they become saucer shaped.

• Can I grow mushrooms outdoors?

Mushrooms will absolutely grow outside and we do offer a guide on how to help with that but for this kit, we recommend you grow these indoors in a safe, secure location.

• Are the mushrooms safe to eat?

Not all mushrooms are safe to eat but you need to make sure the spores you are getting are safe when they are fully grown. Contact your spore provider for any information or a quick google search should help you determine if your strain is edible.

• How can I prevent mold or bacterial growth in the kit?

Mold and bacteria are tricky and sometimes inevitable. The best thing to do to prevent this is to follow all instructions carefully and to add extra precaution by keeping your work station sanitary. You should also be sure to use a reputable spore source as this is the leading cause to contamination with inject & grow kits.

• Can I reuse the mushroom grow kit?

We offer a number ways to reuse your grow kit and get additional uses out of it. Check back in our learning center for more ways to re-purpose your mushroom grow kit! You will be able to get additional fruits out of this kit. Reach out to us if you have any questions!

• What should I do if I see mold on my grow kit?

If you see mold you have a few options. The first one we recommend, is get a small amount of hydrogen peroxide. You can temporarily fill up your spray bottle provided for this. Spray the contaminated areas with hydrogen peroxide, one spray at a time. The mold should start to bubble and will eventually start to die off. You want to allow your mushrooms a fighting chance to grow. If this does not work, reach out to us and we will send you a new kit, no questions asked! If the mold has taken over your bag completely, we will need to replace it for you. Contact our customer support at support@nublumemushroom.com.

• Can I grow different types of mushrooms with the same kit?

Yes, these kits are ready for just about any dung-loving mushroom strain you can think of. If you have any questions about which spores will and wont work with ShroomBloom, you can reach out to us directly.

• Why are my mushrooms growing oddly shaped or discolored?

They might not be getting enough moisture, fresh air, or too much sunlight. Reach out to us and we can try and determine what you have going on!

• Is it normal for the kit to have a strong smell?

Mushrooms can have a very strong, earthy or mildew smell. This is okay and you should just keep an eye on it to make sure it grows properly.

• How can I increase the yield of my mushroom kit?

Increasing your yield comes from keeping your kit as hydrated as possible but without over saturating. We recommend if you want to increase your yield, you increase the moisture content of your bag. Reach out to us to learn more :)
